Book an Appointment

Every clinic here is for babies, children and teenagers only. Choose a clinic and a time that suits you. You do not need a referral letter. If you are not sure which clinic is right, start with general paediatrics.

Is This Urgent? Do Not Book.

A child who is struggling to breathe, will not wake properly, is having a fit, has turned blue or very pale, or is a baby under 3 months with a temperature of 38 °C or more needs an emergency department now, not an appointment. Call us on the way if you are coming to Limi.

Which Clinic Should I Choose?

Most children start in general paediatrics. If your child needs one of the hospital's more than 30 specialties, the general paediatrician refers them on, under the same roof.

Not Sure? General Paediatrics

Fevers, coughs, tummy problems, rashes, poor growth, or a worry you cannot name. The general paediatrician sees the whole child and brings in a specialist if one is needed.

What to Have Ready

Booking takes a few minutes. Have these to hand:

  • Your child's full name and date of birth
  • A phone number you will answer, and an email address if you have one
  • A sentence about the problem, and how long it has been going on
  • Your HMO or NHIA details, if you use one

On the day, bring letters, results, the child health card and every medicine your child has had. See the full list of what to bring.

Using an HMO or NHIA?

Some plans need an authorisation code before a specialist visit, test or scan. Call your HMO, and the hospital, before the appointment and ask what needs approval. How HMO and NHIA approvals work.

Booking for Someone Else?

Grandparents, nannies and relatives can book, but a parent or legal guardian needs to be reachable to give consent for tests and treatment.

Choose a Time

Choose the clinic, then a date and time. You will get a confirmation, and any preparation instructions, from the booking system. If you cannot find a time that suits you, or the calendar does not load, call 0813 408 5400 or 0809 059 9995.

The calendar is provided by Acuity Scheduling. The details you enter are used to arrange your child's appointment. How we handle your child's information. Need to change or cancel? Use the link in your confirmation, or call.

Not Sure Which Clinic to Choose? Call, and the Team Books the Right One with You.

If your child is seriously unwell, do not book and do not wait for a message reply. Come to Limi Children's Hospital now, day or night, or go to the nearest emergency department if you cannot get here quickly. Have someone else drive if you can, so you can watch your child, and call 0813 408 5400 on the way so the team can prepare. See the signs that mean go now.
